Faces of the Fallen is the website where America’s talented artists honor America’s heroes. It is a loving tribute to all our soldiers and service men and women who fought bravely not only for our country but for other nationalities during the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq from 2001 to 2004.
Our fallen comrades and service men and women had different lives and various stories to tell. They enlisted for the army for different reasons but all of them had high hopes for our country and had the sense of commitment and purpose to pursue peace and order. We could all sleep soundly at night knowing that there are people like them who will do whatever it takes to defend our country from violence and attack. That is why we feel it is very important to let the public know who they were and what they did for America. Because at the end of the day, they are our modern-day heroes, ready to take up arms and leave their families when America beckons for their help and service.
Faces of the Fallen features individual portraits of our fallen heroes in the war. These were lovingly painted by American artists in cooperation with private individuals who wanted to preserve the memory of our service men and women. Their courage and bravery helped shape our world and this is the least we can do to pay tribute for all their efforts. We want them and their families to know that they did not die in vain. They are not just part of the 1,300 (or more) casualties in the statistics presented by our government. They are our heroes and they deserve to be remembered in our history forever. Painting their portraits gave faces to the valiant names that otherwise we would not have recognized or would have just read in passing in a news report. Thanks also to our American artists for rising up to the challenge and lending their talents give a face to each of the fallen heroes during the war. It is really a consolidated effort of the artists and private individuals who wanted to give the public an opportunity to pay their respects to the brave men and women who did their best to preserve peace and order in our land.
Faces of the Fallen is solely a private effort and is not affiliated with any government agency. This is made possible by the donations of private individuals to support our burning desire to acknowledge and honor the brave and courageous men and women who died in the service of our country and the world. We should give credit to them for the freedom that we enjoy now. The wars in Afghanistan and Iraq was a horrible and dreadful part of world history. Our service men and women voluntarily offered their efforts and sacrificed so much for our beloved country. They represented the Americans
We invite everyone to open up their garage doors in Kansas City, Wayne County, or anywhere in the United States and come visit the exhibit featuring the portraits or Faces of the Fallen. Pay homage and respect to these heroes who gave their very lives for our country. Show appreciation and gratitude for their honorable service to our nation.
